Position Overview

The Assistant Manager is the General Manager’s operational partner. You run scheduling, support daily operations, handle basic maintenance, and lead the team with confidence. You keep the venue guest-ready, solve problems quickly, and reinforce standards. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who’s decisive, organized, and comfortable taking ownership.

Roles and Responsibilities

Guest Experience Support

• Ensure the team delivers a consistent, high-quality guest experience.
• Step in to host, guide, or game master when the floor needs coverage.

Operations & Scheduling
• Build, adjust, and publish weekly schedules in Humanity.
• Manage time-off requests, shift changes, and staffing coverage.
• Oversee daily readiness across all rooms and common areas.

Team Leadership

• Train new hires and coach existing staff to maintain performance standards.
• Support discipline, accuracy in resets, and policy enforcement.
• Maintain a positive, accountable culture with clear expectations.

Maintenance & Room Readiness

• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on props, puzzles, and equipment.
• Keep rooms functioning, clean, and reset-ready.
• Identify issues early and escalate when needed.

Problem Solving & Issue Resolution

• Handle guest concerns quickly and professionally.
• Assist the GM with troubleshooting, operational decisions, and workflow improvements.

Administrative Support
• Assist with inventory, ordering, documentation, and daily checklists.
• Support group events, parties, and special projects.

Qualifications

• Management experience required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
• Comfortable with scheduling software, customer interaction, and fast-paced decision-making.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.
• Customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
